Exotic Coconut and Orangeflower Body Lotion Recipe

This lotion is perfect for very dry skin. It contains wheatgerm which is rich in vitamin E, great for protecting the skin against anti-aging.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons of wheatgerm
  • 4 tablespoons of sunflower oil
  • 50 grams/2 oz of coconut oil
  • 10 drops of orangeflower essence

Use heat proof bowl over gently simmering water (or double boiler), add the coconut oil and slowly melt it under the low heat. Slowly stir in the wheat germ oil and sunflower oil. Leave it to cool for about an hour. Add the orange flower essence once it has completely cooled and then pour it into an air tight jar.

You will need to leave the lotion for about 5 hours to let it solidify. When using the lotion warm it up in your hands before apply it to your skin.  This is great for extra dry areas. If you don’t like the scent of orangeflower you can replace it with 5 drops of another essential oil of your choice.
