http://www.stylelist.com/2007/10/23/at-home-beauty-tips-from-sonya-dakar-dry-skin-and-puffy-eyes/

Want gorgeous skin but you don’t want to pay for expensive facial treatments at beauty spa. How about doing your own facial treatment at home? It is surprisingly fast and easy plus it will save you a lot of money. Here is how to do a basic facial treatment.

Step One

Prepare your skin by washing all dirt and make up off your face. If you have oily or combination skin, use a gentle foam cleanser and for dry skin use a cream cleanser.

Step Two

Now it is time to exfoliate your skin. Spread a facial scrub or exfoliator onto your face to exfoliate and buff your skin. Choose a scrub that contains small round, synthetic beads in an emollient base as these are safest and less harsh on your skin. Natural scrubs with larger crushed nut shells tend to have jagged sharp edges, which can tear or scratch your skin. Rinse off.

If you have oil skin use a mud or clay mask. For dry skin use a hydrating gel mask or a cream based mask. You can use either mask for combination skin. One you have finish rinse off the mask.

Step Five

To seal the moisture into your skin, smooth on a soothing moisturizer. You must avoid using anti-aging products that contain acids or retinol as they may irritate and over exfoliate your skin.
